Blair grew up playing hockey and golf in Gander, NL, Canada. After a junior career primarily in Atlantic Canada, he enrolled at Utah Valley University accepting a scholarship to pursue NCAA Division 1 college golf. While at UVU, he developed into one of the top ranked amateurs in Canada as well as a highly ranked collegiate player before turning professional.

After sustaining and recovering from a major stomach injury almost immediately after turning professional, he began competing in the summer of 2019. Since then, he has primarily played on PGA Tour Canada and PGA Tour LatinoAmerica (newly merged into PGA Tour Americas in 2024).
